Privacy Notice
What limited data TermFlow processes — and everything it keeps on your machine.
Privacy Notice
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-07-11
TermFlow is a local-first desktop terminal. We designed it to keep your data on your own machine. This Notice explains the limited data we process and why.
Controller: PMT Labs LLC, Texas, USA · Contact: [email protected]
1. Our privacy principle
Your terminal sessions, keystrokes, command output, command history, files, and settings stay on your device. There is no first-party cloud storage and no first-party hosted AI service. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or use the contents of your terminals, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking.
2. What we process
Update checks. The Software may contact our update service to see whether a newer version is available. This request necessarily reveals your IP address, the app version, and basic platform information (e.g., operating system) to the update host. We use this only to deliver updates; we do not use it to build a profile of you.
Pro purchases (Pro tier only). If you buy a Pro license, we and our payment processor collect the information needed to take payment and issue and validate your license — such as your email address, billing details, and a license record. Card/payment details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us. We retain the purchase and license record to provide the Pro license, support you, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
Support correspondence. If you contact us, we process the information you choose to send (e.g., your email address and message) to respond.
3. What we do not collect
We do not collect terminal contents, keystrokes, command history, file contents, or peering traffic. Cross-machine peering (Pro) connects your own devices directly over your local/private network; that traffic does not pass through us.
4. Service providers (sub-processors)
We share the limited data above only with providers that help us operate: an update/distribution host (to serve update checks and downloads); and a payment processor (to take Pro payments and manage licenses). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards.
5. Legal bases and purposes
We process the data above to provide and secure the Software, deliver updates, fulfill Pro purchases and licenses, respond to you, and comply with law.
6. Data retention
We keep update-check logs only as long as needed to operate and secure the service. We keep Pro purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide the license and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]; we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
TermFlow is a developer tool not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
10. International users
We operate from the United States. If you use the Software from outside the U.S., the limited data described above may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our providers operate.
11. Changes
We may update this Notice for new versions of the Software. Material changes will be noted on this page.
